Graphic 45 2019 Brand Ambassador Audition

Hello Happy Crafters!

It’s an exciting day for me and I’m so happy to share it with you. I’ve always wanted to audition to be a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador and I’m finally DOING IT!

The project I’m sharing with you today is the Graphic 45 “Blooming Tags” File Folder Notebook using Eileen Hull’s Journal die, three file folders, Graphic 45’s  ivory tags, and their gorgeous new Bloom collection!

I’ll take you on a walk-through of the project then you’ll get a bonus tutorial (I know!) I’ll teach you how to assemble the cover, including stringing the notebook and attaching the pockets. Then you’ll learn how to make one complete “tag folio” foundation.

All the mat sizes are mentioned in the video, but they are also listed below.

SUPPLIES: 

2 sheets Sizzix “Little Sizzles” 6″ x 13″ White Matboard

3 Letter Size Manila File Folders (1 top, 1 middle, 1 bottom tab)

65″ 2mm cream cord (1mm is fine, but may stretch out quickly)

1 package Graphic 45 ATC tags (ivory)

1 package Graphic 45 Large tags (Ivory)

DIES:

Eileen Hull Journal Die (Sizzix)

Graphic 45’s Tall Tag/ATC Tag die set

To Decorate like sample: 

1 8×8 Graphic 45 Bloom collection pad

1 set Graphic 45 Bloom Chipboard set

1 12×12 sheet burgundy cardstock (you can also use Bloom Patterns & Solids)

1 12×12 sheet light blue cardstock (you can also use Bloom Patterns & Solids)

Assorted Charms & Jump Rings

CUTTING/SCORING GUIDE:

COVER:: Sizzix Matboard

(2) Cut two covers using Eileen Hull Journal die (Sizzix)

Scoring: they come pre-scored & punched  

INSIDE COVER POCKETS: (cut from File Folder leftovers)

(2) 5 3/8 x 4 1/2″ Score Landscape: 1/2″ in from each end. Then score Portrait at 1/2″

TAG FOLIOS::Cut from letter size manila file folders: 1 ea top/center/bottom tab

(3) 8 1/8″ x 8 1/4″ (size does NOT include the tabs)

Score Landscape from the non-tab end: 4″ and 4 1/8″

GRAPHIC 45 TAG ATTACHMENT STRIPS: (cut from File Folder scraps)

Lg Tags: (3) 1″ x 7 1/2″ Score Portrait 1/2″

ATC Tags: (6) 1″ x 2 1/2″ Score Portrait 1/2″

    • Hi Linda, This is just my audition piece for Graphic 45. There is a free tutorial included that teaches you how to make it. I may end up putting a full tutorial with photos and all the pattern paper measurements, etc, in the Etsy shop, but otherwise all the info is already there to make one in the video. 🙂 It was fun to give it a try! ~ Donna

    • Aw, thanks, Hare! You of all people know how long I’ve wanted to try. It was a lot of fun just trying out! I can’t imagine getting picked amongst all the amazing designers out there, but was worth it just for the experience. 🙂 Hugs! Donna

    • Thanks, Nancy! It’s a simple design and easy to make. I wanted something I could fully teach in the video and hopefully offer helpful tips along the way. Can’t imagine I’ll make it with all the crazy talent out there, but it was truly fun to try! 🙂

  12. How exciting!!! If anyone knows how to make the most out of the gorgeous Graphic 45 collections, it’s YOU. I have so many of your awesome G45 projects right here in my craft room, and I use them and enjoy looking at them every day.
    They’d be lucky to have you! Your designs are always beautiful AND useful. Not to mention really fun to make. 🙂

  15. Donna, I really appreciated you giving tips on how to thread the cover. I’ve been wanting to try this and now it seems so easy. Is the cord you use elastic or a firm cord? You mentioned that you used 2mm where is a good place to purchase this?
