File Folder Folio #2: Sound of Spring Tutorial Now Available!

Hello Happy Crafters!

So happy to share my latest File Folder Folio project with you all today using Ciao Bella’s stunning The Sound of Spring collection. So much eye candy in this collection!

It was such fun to work with this Italian company for the first time. It definitely won’t be the last! (More on that below!)

I had fun trying some new things with this one, including making my own dangles from scrap chipboard. Fun!

The richness of the design makes working with this collection so easy! It does all the pretty for you!

Inside, I worked with as many large format foundations as I could in order to showcase thees designs. On the left side, are two big pockets, each with a folder-size pull out, and a fun double pocket with smaller folder tags.

No matter where you look, beautiful art and inspiring sentiments.

The pull out tabbed folders are full size, just cropped for width. Plenty of space for large format photos.

With fun flaps and tuck spots inside for smaller goodies!

And that’s just the left side!

On the right are three pocket flaps. Each one flips down, giving you even more space for photos and journaling.

And each pocket has a gatefold folder tucked inside! Like mini-folios themselves, three times over.

Check out the full walk-through of the project below (including a sneak peek at the end of the next Ciao Bella collection I’ll be working with!)

I hope you give this fun and easy file folder folio a try!

New Recipe Book Tutorial Now Available!

Hello Happy Crafters!

Fun news! I’ve got a brand new 7×7 Chunky Recipe Book tutorial in my Etsy shop using Kaisercraft’s Bon Appetit collection.

This fun mini has five pages, with nice 1/2″ gussets between them, so you can really load it up!

There are policy-style deep pockets on the inside front and back cover. Tons of room for recipe cards, magazine tear outs  and internet recipe print outs.

Each page has a pocket-front fold out…

…that slides out as its own separate folder! Lots of landscape in this mini!

The back of each page also has a wide pocket…this mini will hold SO MANY recipes!

The 7×7 size, with the chunky 3″ spine also makes this a great photo/scrapbook album! The 1/2″ space between pages allows for textured decor on the pages as well!

The digital tutorial  includes all the info to make the foundation, as well as the mat sizes for all of the pattern papers, so you can use any collection you wish!

Check out the video walk-through!

I hope you give this fun recipe mini a try!

Happy crafting!

Fun with Graphic 45: Lost in Paradise Upscaled Travelers Notebook

Hello Happy Crafters!! I’m so excited to share this brand new take on a Travelers Notebook using the stunningly vibrant Lost in Paradise collection from Graphic 45.

Lush doesn’t even begin to describe the beauty of this tropics-inspired paper collection. As vibrant as it is cheerful, filled with flamingos and palm trees, tropical birds and butterflies, I knew I couldn’t wait.  I had to play with it the moment it arrived. This is the Fun with Graphic 45: Lost in Paradise Travelers Notebook!

This project uses Graphic 45’s fun new Travelers Notebook as the foundation. (Yes, that part is already made for you. YAY!) It comes with three booklet inserts: one plain, one lined, and one grid. And the good news is that G45 sells those inserts separately so if you want to use this as a notebook/planner, you can, and simply replace the booklets with new ones as you use them up.

However, in this case, it can also be used as a photo-journal, where you can include photos, stories, art, and memorabilia. SO much fun!

Now, you all know me. You know I can’t just leave a project in its basic form. Oh no, I had to upscale this notebook and BOY did I! It’s packed with so much extra. You’ll get interactive add-ons inside the front and back cover AND the covers of all three booklets have been upscaled as well.

Example: The cover of the first booklet has a deep pocket that stores a handy mini-booklet! I included this little 16-page booklet to go with your booklet! (I don’t know about you, but I always need a little notepad to go with my regular notepad. If you’re like me, well, here you go!)

I had so much fun with this, it was hard to put on the brakes. So, I didn’t. HA! You like a chunky book? Well, I’ve got just the project for you! These papers are just so glorious.

I also took all the leftovers from the paper collection and added lots of whimsical little goodies to the insides of the booklets as well.

You’ll learn an array of fun little tips and techniques, like how to add a magnet bookmark, little clipboard accessories, paper clip page & note holders…the list goes on. I told you this was extra!

I had a hard time just narrowing it down to these bazillion photos.

I could have added so many more.

Charm dangles on the spine, and one of graphic 45’s vintage keys on the elastic strap? Yes, I used it alllllll.

This project uses the Lost In Paradise 8×8 collection pad and the Patterns and Solids 12×12 coordinating pad for this collection.  So many hidden goodies. I even beaded the strings for the button-tie closures. I love the little details that make it fun!

The inside-back cover has been upscaled to include a fold-out that introduces a ton more space to add even more goodies!

These are just the tags and folder that fit into the notebook cover!

Check out the walk-through of the completed project here:

Is there a Digital Tutorial so you can dive right in and make this for yourself? YES!

Available right now for immediate download  in my MiniBooksRMe Etsy Shop HERE!

I hope you give this project a try! (I’d love to see photos if you do!)

Wee Things 2: ATC Book in a Box Tutorial – Now Available!

Hello Happy Crafters!

Excited to share the latest MiniBooksRMe project with you!  This is the second in my Wee Things Series. This is the Wee Things 2: ATC Book-in-a-Box project featuring the new ATC Matchbook Box and ATC Album from Graphic 45 and decorated with Kaisercraft’s amazing Anthology collection!

I’ve had this collection for a while now, waiting for the perfect project. When Graphic 45 announced their new ATC-sized mini album and matchbook box earlier this year, I knew I’d found the perfect combo! Scroll on to see the goodies inside!

One of Graphic 45’s Brand Ambassadors did a project recently where they turned one of the G45’s large matchbook boxes upright to make a unique pull out drawer. I thought that would be adorable with the brand new, ATC-size version, so I adapted it using Graphic 45’s antique drawer pull, and their gorgeous claw feet, and voila!

I never met a botanical-themed paper collection I didn’t love, but Kaisercraft’s Anthology collection is really special. It ticks off all of my favorite botanical boxes! Gorgeous colors, vintage feel, birds, butterflies, and antique drawers.

I had so much fun repurposing this matchbook box. The box size is 4.75” x 5.5” and is 2.75” deep. A perfect wee size for this series of small-scale projects.

What’s more fun than a wee box? A wee box with a wee book tucked inside! This is Graphic 45’s brand-new ATC Rectangle Tag & Pocket album and measures an adorable 4” x 5”. But don’t let the wee size fool you! This little baby is packed!

There are 4 pocket pages, and each one is tucked inside a folder, so plenty of pages and spots for photos and journaling in this pocket-sized mini. Each pocket page has a pocket front & back, and the page is a pocket, too! (Yes, I make max use of them ALL!)

The Anthology collection also comes with a packet of fun die cuts called “Noteables” that were also used in this project. You can sub in any die cuts, cut parts, or embellishments you like, with this collection or any you might be using.

I love all the rich colors. Plenty of fun tuck spots and belly bands have been added so even more tags could be included. (Because, have you met me?) 🙂

I also love that Kaisercraft puts phrases and words on the back sides of their bar code strips. We use a lot of them in this project, too!

Wee Things ATC Book in a Box Digital Tutorial: The tutorial for this is largely decorative and therefore priced accordingly. The tutorial includes the following:

Photo/Instruction File teaching you how to decorate and assemble this project as designed.

Cutting Guide: this gives you both a generic list of all the mats sizes used in this project, so you can substitute any collection you like AND shows you how the Kaisercraft Anthology collection was cut for this project as well.

NOTE: You MUST HAVE the Graphic 45 Matchbook Box & ATC Album to complete the project as shown, but beyond that, you can use any paper collection you wish.

ALSO: I’ve also included the sizes of every part of the foundation as well, for those extra-crafty folks who want to try and make similar foundations on their own. (There are NO instructions included for that, just the

dimensions.)

To Purchase: You can pick up a copy of the tutorial in my MiniBooksRMe Etsy shopl HERE.

Take a peek at the quick walk-through of the finished project:

I hope you’ll give this fun project a try!
