I’m SO very excited to finally get to share with you a project I’ve been wanting to make (or re-make) for a year. I made a little mini last year using one of Graphic 45’s albums and this wonderful Hallowe’en in Wonderland collection. One of my all time faves! (I’ve been collection All Things Alice for many years.)
Graphic 45 liked the end result so much they even used it in one of their ad campaigns. (I know! What?) That project was a one time class I taught at a local store, but after that ad went online, I had a LOT of folks asking me for a tutorial. I planned to make one right after I launched my MiniBooksRMe shop a year ago, but by then the paper was mostly sold out, so (sad face!) I ifigured I’d missed my shot.
Fast Forward to Fall of 2018 and G45 made my whole year when they decided to bring it out again for one last show. I snapped up product so fast I think I made their head spin. I know mine was! And I immediately re-created the project.
This time I made my own mini, with all the gusset space I needed to add in chipboard, plenty of tags, and all the fun I wanted.
The mini by itself is super versatile. It’s 6×6 with a chunky 3 1/4″ spine and has 6 pocket-and-flap style pages. (Yes, all the same for once!) I wanted to give you a versatile, easy to make mini suitable for all occasions.
To that end, the tutorial not only comes with a very detailed color photo, step by step instruction file, you also get a Cutting Guide that gives you all the sizes for the foundation mats to build the mini book, but it ALSO gives you the sizes of all the pattern papers and decor mats I used to decorate the mini and make all the tags and folders.
That way you can make this mini again and again, using any paper collection you wish.
